The pavement along the B1049 has been widened, to accommodate cyclists on a shared used pavement running from Cottenham to Impington (there is a slightly better one from Rampton to Cottenham).
Poles and lamp posts that were at the edge of the footway have not been moved and are now obstructing the shared use pavement. Lamp posts in the cycleway are unacceptable.

At Orchard Road and Mill Lane (and Ambrose Way) the cycleway recedes from the main carriageway, leading on to crossings over speed-tables which will be marked for drivers to give way to cyclists.
